EFAW: Emergency First Aid at Work

People in a position to deliver first aid to themselves and others in low risk work environments e.g. community based carers, residential support staff, personal assistants, office workers, hotel & catering staff.

This first aid course meets the HSE Employers' Due Diligence guidance for first aid training and our trainers have collective nursing, paramedical and risk management experience. Candidates will be assessed by the trainer through the day, allowing hands on experience of dealing with CPR, choking, and wounded casualties.
Please note: this course can not be delivered online as this would fail to meet the HSE guidelines on EFAW delivery. We can offer first aid demonstrative courses online, but will adjust the title to First Aid Awareness - Online. An online assessment is included, so attendees can still evidence their learning and participation.
First Aid for the Elderly

People caring for elderly clients where managing risk and delivering first aid is a job requirement. This course is based on the EFAW framework but focuses attention on elderly casualties.

Lone workers, one to one care staff, individuals who support clients in a range of situations where they have sole responsibility for their safety and that of their client. This course covers the core criteria of the EFAW course while addressing the challenges of delivering first aid to individuals with complex care needs.
